On the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 19, host Salman Khan was seen giving the contestants a much-needed reality check. Salman reprimanded Pranit More over some jokes the stand-up comedian had made about him and also gave serious feedback to Gaurav Khanna. A major point of discussion between Salman and Gaurav revolved around Gaurav’s betrayal of Kunickaa Sadanand during the captaincy task.
Kunickaa and Gaurav shared a close bond on the show from day one, with Gaurav even sharing that Kunickaa was “like a mother” to him. However, their equation soured after Tanya Mittal exposed Gaurav’s divided loyalties in front of Kunickaa. During the captaincy task, when Kunickaa, Ashnoor, and Abhishek were contesting, Gaurav was seen discussing strategies with Kunickaa but didn’t disclose that he was secretly supporting Ashnoor for the captaincy, something Tanya eventually revealed.
While Kunickaa Sadanand and Gaurav Khanna were in the middle of a conversation, Tanya Mittal confronted Gaurav, asking why, if he was such good friends with Kunickaa, he had promised Ashnoor Kaur his support during the captaincy task. This revelation strained Gaurav and Kunickaa’s bond. Talking about the same, Kunickaa opened up to Salman Khan on the Weekend Ka Vaar and said, “Learning the truth about Gaurav was very shocking for me. It was shocking because he kept calling me a mother, and I am thankful to Tanya because I am so stupid that I take everything at face value. When Tanya exposed Gaurav, I almost thought I was going to have a heart attack. Funnily, the next day, he asks me if I am upset with him, so I said that when you call me a mother and then backstab me, shouldn’t I get upset? But he wasn’t ready to accept.”
Salman Khan chimed in, “You must be feeling bad that the person you wanted to see as a captain lost and she took charge.” Gaurav responded, “I wanted to see a new flavor.” Later, Salman gave his opinion on the matter and told Gaurav, “You were being partial. Gaurav is with the democracy. If someone learns that you are good friends with Kunickaa, but are supporting Ashnoor, and you don’t tell the person, then it becomes wrong. You should have told Kunickaa if you didn’t want to make her the captain, she was so close to you. You wanted to support Ashnoor because her fan-following outside is tremendous. You wanted to do this favor to attract that.”
“I have known Kunickaa for years, and we have worked a lot. She is the kind of person who would have also voted for Ashnoor had you told her to,” Salman added. He also pointed out that since Gaurav assumed Ashnoor to be a weak contestant, he wanted her to become the captain.
Salman Khan also lauded Kunickaa Sadanand for taking charge of the house when there was no captain. He said, “Kunickaaji, you have become the captain now, but in all honesty, you looked like a captain unofficially from the very first day. Based on your experience, you had expected a few things, but people were misunderstanding you.”
