Among the many subplots that unfolded in Bigg Boss 18, one of the most talked-about was the close friendship between Karan Veer Mehra and Chum Darang.

The 18th edition of the Salman Khan-hosted reality show Bigg Boss concluded on Sunday with television actor Karanveer Mehra — renowned for his roles in Biwi Aur Main, Virrudh, Amrit Manthan and Pavitra Rishta — lifting the trophy. While TV star Vivian Dsena, celebrated for his work in popular soap operas such as Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahani, Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon and Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, secured the position of first runner-up, the subsequent four spots were claimed by fitness influencer Rajat Dalal and actors Avinash Mishra, Chum Darang and Eisha Singh, in that order.

Among the many subplots that unfolded this season, one of the most talked-about was the close friendship between Karanveer and Chum, which fans have speculated could be turning into a romance. In fact, in one of the last episodes, Karanveer was seen reacting aggressively after Vivian injured Chum during the Ticket to Finale task. As Vivian’s competitive streak led him to push Chum, causing her an injury, Karanveer lost his temper and challenged Vivian to a fight.

Following the grand finale, fans of both Karanveer Mehra and Chum Darang have been eagerly awaiting updates on their relationship outside the show. In a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Chum was asked whether she intended to take their ‘relationship’ further beyond the reality show. She responded, “We didn’t create that hashtag; people outside did. The friendship will be there, of course. We don’t know what else will happen.”

“As I said before, inside the house, in life, we always need someone around, right? Someone to support us emotionally. We need someone, right? So, I think Karan and Shilpa ma’am (Shilpa Shirodkar) were there for me. Karan did a lot, and I’m always thankful. But whatever happened, happened organically, and I’m glad it happened that way,” the actor added. On Karan’s victory, she joyfully remarked, “Trophy ghar aagaye (The trophy has finally come home).”
