On Kaun Banega Crorepati 15, fans get to see Amitabh Bachchan in his most candid avatar. From sharing personal anecdotes, stories from the past to his interaction with contestants, it’s a fun ride for his fans. In a promo shared by Sony TV, next week, the host would be left stumped while talking to a contestant and his mother about his name.
Big B teased the contestant named Dharmendra that it’s quite clear that he loves the yesteryear actor. However, he shared that it was his father who named him after the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani actor. His mother, who was in the studio, revealed that she is a fan of Amitabh Bachchan, and wanted to name her son Amitabh. However, her husband loved Dharmendra and to mock her, he picked the name Dharmendra for their son. “Ab kya kar sakte hai, parivar ka mamla hai, jo hua so hua. Aap daantiye unhe (Now what can be done, it’s family matter. You please scold him). Her comment left the host in splits as he applauded her honesty.
In another promo shared by the channel, host Amitabh announced the show would celebrate ‘relationships’ through its ‘Rishtey Special’ week. Contestants would be seen talking about their special bonds and how it helped them reach the hot seat.
Host of the show Amitabh Bachchan, in an earlier statement, said that Kaun Banega Crorepati has become an integral part of his life. “In its 15th season, we will be ushering in a new beginning – representing an evolving India, its aspirations, and its citizens who dream big. This show has become an integral part of my life, it’s a platform for me to connect with audiences – both inside the studio as well as those watching the show from the comfort of their homes.
