Vijay’s Leo, after many struggles and legal battles, is finally releasing tomorrow at 9 a.m. across Tamil Nadu. As theatres confirmed the timing of the first show, Tamil Nadu minister and actor Udhayanidhi Stalin has come forward in praise of the film. Udhaynidhi, who owns Red Giant Movies, seems to have watched a special show of Leo. In the tweet, the film distributor, called Vijay ‘Thalabathy Anna’ and gave a thumbs up to him. He called Lokesh Kanagaraj’s director ‘excellent’.

However, some of Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s fans have lashed out at Udhay for revealing that the film is part of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s cinematic universe. Memes and tweets trolled Udhay for unveiling a long-guarded secret of the film.
Leo has been muddled in several controversies for the past few weeks. From being called out for glorifying smoking to release-related issues, the film’s release itself turned out to be a gripping tale of many twists.
Meanwhile, the pre-booking of the film has alone earned close to Rs 34 crore, according to reports. The film is expected to earn more than Rs 70 crore at the box office, beating Jailer’s first-day collection.
Also starring Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Gautam Menon, and Mysskin, the follows a well-known template of an unassuming hero with a violent past.
