Perseverance and persistence have been the hallmark of actor Ajith Kumar’s career. He is currently juggling between his twin pursuits of cinema and motorsport racing. Close on the blockbuster success of his recent film, Good Bad Ugly, Ajith enjoyed twin success with a podium finish at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium.
Ajith Kumar’s manager Suresh Chandra shared the news of the achievement, and wrote, “A proud moment for Indian motorsport! Ajith Kumar and his team secure a remarkable P2 podium finish at the prestigious Spa Francorchamps circuit in Belgium. A testament to passion, precision, and perseverance on the global racing stage.”
Along with pictures of the event, team Ajith also shared the video of the actor and his team, Ajith Kumar Racing, standing tall on the second position with chants of ‘AK, AK’ reverberating through the circuit. “The crowd swells, and so does the love! People of Belgium form a beeline to meet their idol! In cinema and sports, #AK continues to spread positivity wherever he goes! A true global icon,” wrote his team.
Incidentally, in the run-up to the race, Ajith met with an accident in the practice sessions, but, thankfully, escaped unhurt, and went ahead with the race. Congratulatory messages started pouring in for Ajith from many quarters, including Good Bad Ugly director Adhik Ravichandran, and the film’s producers Mythri Movie Makers.
In one of the post-race interviews, when Ajith Kumar was asked about his biggest learning as a driver, he said, “Patience…” and the video has gone viral for the usually reticent superstar opening up in these interviews, which is giving his fans an insight into the thoughts of their matinee idol.

Ajith, who had quite a sedate start to 2025 in the cinema front with Magizh Thirumeni’s Vidaamuyarchi, bounced back strongly with Good Bad Ugly, and had multiple podium finishes in his racing career. He has previously assured his fans that the focus on racing career doesn’t mean the film career is on the backburner, and he will concentrate on films during the off-season of the races from October-March. However, there have been no official updates about his next, despite names of Prashanth Neel, Karthik Subbaraj, and Siva doing the rounds as the director of his next film.
