Actor Tamannaah Bhatia recently got pretty candid and bold while talking about her former co-stars Vijay and Ajith. In an interview with a Tamil YouTube channel, Bhatia, who impressed all with her moves in Jailer song “Kaavaala”, spoke about her early days in Tamil cinema. The actor said her 2010 film Sura, which had Vijay in the lead role, is one of the movies that she is not fond of.

When asked about the films which she doesn’t like, Tamannaah said, “It is a very popular film, but there are some scenes in the movie that I thought were bad. The songs in the film are very popular. It is Sura. I thought I was really bad (laughs). I would never do it again.”

Sura, directed by SP Rajkumar, was panned by critics and the audience for the over-the-top heroism. Tamannaah Bhatia, however, knew that Sura was not good even while shooting for the film. “I knew even while shooting for the film that it might not work out. There are lot of films that we know will not work even while we are shooting it. But everything is not about success and failure. Sometimes you do films because we have given our commitment. We have to finish it because it should not affect lives that are dependent on it.”

Tamannaah was also asked about Veeram, her film with Ajith Kumar. The film had Ajith sporting a salt-and-pepper look, which received mixed reactions from fans. When asked if she had the liberty to give inputs to the director to change Ajith’s look, the actor said, “I don’t think I had the liberty back then, but now, I do. It is important for the actress to get that power, and it should be their quest. Also, it also comes down to the individuals. Some directors give the liberty, and I want to work with such people who want to collaborate like that.”

Meanwhile, Tamannaah Bhatia will be next seen in Jailer, which is set to be released on August 10. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the film also has Shivarajkumar, Mohanlal, and Vinayakan in important roles.
