The last few years, actor Jimmy Shergill has been portraying very intense characters. However, here’s a breather for him. The actor has signed up Abhik Bhanu’s (who has earlier directed Sab Kuch Hai Kuch Bhi Nahin and Dark Rainbow) directorial venture, Gun Pe Done, which is a slapstick comedy.
However, Shergill clears the air stating that even though the film has few comical moments, he isn’t indulging in baffoonery. Shergill, who is playing the character of Pancham in the film, says that the film has come at the right time. “After doing serious roles, this one will gives me an opportunity to explore a different space,” says the actor, who can’t remember anything similar that he would have done in the past except for Tom, Dick and Harry that was comical. In fact, the actor informs that Deepak Tijori, the director of Tom, Dick and Harry, is planning a sequel to it very soon.
However, Shergill is currently busy completing the first schedule of the sequel to Tanu Weds Manu, which is being shot in Lucknow and will start shooting for Gun Pe Done next month in Mumbai.
Alongside Shergill, the film stars a mad-cap team of Sanjay Mishra, Vijay Raaz, Vrijesh Hirjee and Deepraj Rana. “The actress is yet to be finalised. Most probably, it will be a newcomer,” says Shergill about the film that is being produced by Pioneer Films and Entertainment LLP.
