Divya Dutta will be seen sharing screen space with none other than Shabana Azmi and Juhi Chawla in Chalk and Duster, directed by Jayant Leeladhar. The film centers around the education system. “This is the first time I’m portraying such a role. I’m very excited about being pitted with these fabulous actors and they are also my personal favourites,” says Divya Dutta. She will also be seen in Aaye Bala Ko Tal Tu which is a black comedy, starring Rishi Kapoor and Ram Kapoor. The film, directed by Shubho Shekhar Bhattacharya is a satire and features rival politicians from two political parties, played by Rishi Kapoor and Ram Kapoor, while she plays a spunky, greedy socialite. “My character wants to be the best in her social circuit,” adds Dutta. Her very next release is Sriram Raghavan’s Badlapur. “I play Shobha, who is one of the women in Varun’s life. It’s a thriller and I don’t want to divulge the story, but all three women, Yami Gautam, Huma Qureshi and I, play very important parts in his life,” explained Dutta, without revealing too much about her character.
The actress will also be seen in the Hindi remake of Rajesh Pillai’s Traffic.
