The team of 2021 Punjabi film Honsla Rakh is coming back with another romantic comedy. Ranna Ch Dhanna, starring the hit trio of Diljit Dosanjh, Sonam Bajwa and Shehnaaz Gill, will be helmed by Honsla Rakh director Amarjit Singh Saron. The movie’s first poster, with release date, was unveiled on Tuesday.
The film’s poster shows Diljit dressed as a king with Sonam and Shehnaaz on either side. Diljit is also the producer of the movie along with Daljit Thind and Pawan Gill under the banners Thind Motion Pictures and Storytime Productions. The film will release on October 2, 2024.
Talking about Ranna Ch Dhanna, Diljit said in a statement, “Audiences immensely enjoyed my pairing with Sonam Bajwa and Shehnaaz Gill in Honsla Rakh and now we are back with even more fun, comedy, romance and entertainment with Ranna Ch Dhanna.” He also shared the poster on his social media and wrote a famous verse from a poem in the caption.
Sharing the update about the film with fans, Diljit wrote, “Ishq ne Ghalib Nikamma kar diya Varna Aadmi Hum Bhi theey kam ke. #RannaChDhanna Movie Releasing in Cinemas worldwide 2nd Oct, 2024!!!”
A similar post was shared by Shehnaaz Gill and Sonam Bajwa on their respective social media accounts.
Sonam, Shehnaaz and Diljit were last seen together in Honsla Rakh. In an earlier interview with Siddharth Kannan, Sonam was asked if there was any competition on sets of the film with co-actor Shehnaaz. To this, she said, “There was no competition because honestly I was so secured by what I was going to do on screen. There was no competition like that, but I will be very honest, when I was doing a song with her, she was so good as dancer I was like ‘wow’. We were teaching each other steps. When your co-star performs well on sets, you feel ‘even I want to do.’ It made me feel more responsible. So yes, we did bond.”
