Singer Ed Sheeran is currently in India and he has been the talk of the town lately. From partying with Bollywood biggies, to singing for underprivileged children, fans are in awe of the “Shape of You” singer. Sheeran is here for  +–=÷× Tour, and he’ll be performing on March 16 at the Mahalaxmi Race Course Grounds in Mumbai.

In an interview with Brut, Sheeran took a trip down memory lane and recalled the time when he first visited India. This is the third time he’s performing in India, as he was here in 2015 and 2017 too.

He said, “The first time I came over here (India), I went to a small party with a bunch of people. Those were big stars in Bollywood. And I think that kind of opened the door. There’s a lot of Indian music that’s fantastic. I’d say that’s kind of what I’ve been listening to the most for the last like a year and a bit.”

Ed Sheeran also talked about Indian musicians and heaped praise on Diljit Dosanjh. He said, “I have listened to a lot of Diljit Dosanjh. I think he is great. I love Armaan, obviously having worked with him. And I think King has made some really exciting stuff.” The singer also expressed his interest in collaborating with King.

Photos of Ed Sheeran playing cricket with Shubman Gill are also causing a stir online. Additionally, Sheeran and Shah Rukh Khan recently made waves by recreating Shah Rukh’s iconic pose.
