The teaser for the highly anticipated investigative thriller police drama Thalavan, starring Biju Menon and Asif Ali in the lead roles, has been unveiled. Directed by Jis Joy, the film delves into the intricacies of police force hierarchy.
In the movie, Biju takes on the character of Inspector Jayashankar, while Asif Ali portrays Karthik, a Sub Inspector of Police. The teaser commences with police cars speeding towards a house amidst pouring rain. A voiceover states, “Until the prey falls into a trap, it’s only the hunter’s desire.” Both Jayashankar and Karthik face attacks, and a glimpse of a burning police motorbike intensifies the intrigue. The teaser further reveals a power struggle between Biju and Asif’s characters at a police station.
Earlier, the film’s makers unveiled its first official poster. Asif Ali shared the poster and wrote, “Presenting the official first look poster of Thalavan.”
Apart from Biju Menon, Asif Ali, and Miya George, Thalavan boasts a stellar cast including Anusree, Dileesh Pothan, Kottayam Nazeer, Shankar Ramakrishnan, Joji K John, Dinesh, Anuroop, Nandan Unni, and Bilas.
Sharath Perumbavoor and Anand Thevarakkattu have penned the screenplay for the investigative thriller. Deepak Dev is behind the film’s music, with Sharan Velayudhan handling cinematography and Sooraj ES taking charge of editing. Arun Narayan and Sijo Sebastian are producing the film under their banners Arun Narayan Productions and London Studios.
Interestingly, Biju Menon is set to play the role of a police officer in another film titled Thundu, directed by debutant Riyas Shereef. Unlike Thalavan, Thundu is a comedy drama scheduled to hit theatres on February 16, as revealed in the recently released trailer.
