Malayalam actor Nazriya Nazim has been away from the spotlight for nearly five months. Her absence raised concerns among fans, who took to her previous posts to ask about her well-being. On Thursday, Nazriya took to Instagram to explain her absence from the public eye. In a long note, the actor explained why she went missing or didn’t pick calls or responded to messages.
She wrote, “I hope you are all doing well. I wanted to take a moment to share why I have been absent for a while. As many of you know, I have always been an active member of this wonderful community. However, over the past few months, I have been struggling with my emotional wellbeing and personal challenges that have made it difficult for me to be present.”
Nazriya Nazim shared that while navigating her personal challenges, she not only missed being present online but also missed celebrating her 30th birthday, the New Year, and the success of her film Sookshmadarshini.
“I also want to apologise to all my friends for not explaining why I went missing and for not picking up calls or responding to messages. I am truly sorry for any worry or inconvenience I may have caused. I did shut down completely.”
In the note, Nazriya also extended her apologises to her colleagues who tried to reach her for work. “I have been absent and I am sorry for any disruptions this may have caused.”
Nazriya concluded her note by saying, “It’s been a tough journey, but I want you to know that I am working on healing and getting better every day. I appreciate your understanding and support during this time. I may need a bit more time to fully return, but I promise I am on the path to recovery. I wrote this down today because I felt like I owe an explanation to all my family, friends, and fans for disappearing like this.”
Her note attracted responses from her colleagues, including Vijay Varma and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
Vijay commented, “Wishing you all the love and healing.” Whereas, Samantha simply dropped a heart emoji in the comments section. Danish Sait wrote, “Take care, take your time. The world can wait.”
Others in the comments section speculated that Nazriya Nazim might be pregnant. A comment read, “The way she started the post, I genuinely thought she was revealing a pregnancy. 😮 Who else thought the same?” Meanwhile, others requested the actor to “not announce divorce”.
