At the trailer launch of the much-anticipated film Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil in Dubai, actor-director Basil Joseph delivered a performance that had the audience roaring with laughter. The event also saw his co-stars Prithviraj, Nikhila Vimal and Anaswara Rajan in attendance.
When prompted by Midhun Ramesh to showcase his singing skills, Basil, with his trademark confidence, seized the opportunity. However, instead of opting for a conventional performance, Basil delighted the audience with his version of the song “Puthiya Mugham”, originally sung by Prithviraj. His humorous rendition of the popular track had everyone in splits and instantly went viral on various social media platforms.
Not content with just one comedic act, Basil Joseph continued to entertain by transitioning seamlessly from “Puthiya Mugham” to the superhit song “Periyone” from the blockbuster film Aadujeevitham, starring Prithviraj. Basil wrapped up his performance with a song from his own movie, Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey, ensuring that the audience was thoroughly entertained throughout.
Basil’s hilarious rendition at the trailer launch of Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil serves as yet another testament of his knack for entertaining audiences both on and off-screen.
Directed by Vipin Das, Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil is all set to be released in theatres on May 16.
