Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s Chennai Express which was to release on August 8 after sorting out a clash date with Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara has again changed its date of release.
The film will now be releasing on August 9,that is Eid,tweeted film critic Taran Adarsh.
The makers of the film do not want the release date to fall in the Ramadaan period as many Muslim fans might not be able to watch it,stated a notice released on a box office website.
The decision was taken after a meeting held between Red Chillies,UTV and exhibitors. Shah Rukh had earlier spoken to Ekta Kapoor requesting her to push back the release of Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Dobara by a week.
Balaji’s Akshay Kumar-Imran Khan-Sonakshi Sinha starrer will now be releasing on the Independence Day weekend of August 15.
