Newlyweds Ranvir Shorey and Konkona Sen Sharma will be returning to work after a brief honeymoon,but for a romantic thriller in which they star opposite each other.
The couple who wed in a small ceremony last week will star in the project tentatively titled ‘Jackpot’ by debutante director Amitabh Varma.
Varma is a well known lyricist and wrote the script for the recently released film ‘Antardwand’. He had begun his career as a lyricist and has songs from ‘Bas Ek Pal’,’Life In A Metro’ and ‘My Brother Nikhil’ to his credit.
Ranvir and Konkona who were in a relationship for over three years,got married in the traditional manner at their Goregaon residence,last Friday. While Ranvir arrived dressed as a Punjabi groom on a horse-drawn carriage,the 30-year-old actress reportedly wore her grandmother’s jewellery for the ceremony.
“We wanted you to read it here first but. We got married! Yay!” they wrote on their respective Twitter pages.
Ranvir,38,has established himself with humourous roles in films like ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’ and ‘Pyar Ke Side Effects’ while Konkona,won the National award for Mr and Mrs Iyer.
The newlyweds were last seen together on screen in the 2007 film Traffic Signal and had had worked together in the play Blue Mug which was staged last year.
