After scooping honours at the Grammy and Oscars,music maestro A R Rahman has teamed up with the choreographer of none other than ‘Queen of Pop’ Madonna for his upcoming ‘Jai Ho’ concert.
‘Jai Ho Concert: The Journey Home’ which will kick-start from New York on June 11 and cover over 20 cities worldwide is produced by Deepak Gattani from Rapport Productions.
The 44-year-old musician whose score in ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ won him international recognition has teamed up with well-known choreographer-director Amy Tinkham,who has worked on live musical concerts for pop icons like Paul McCartney,Madonna,Britney Spears and Dixie Chicks.
The much anticipated event will be a theatrical experience that will blend new technologies with powerful dance arrangements and acrobatics.
It will feature changing sets,large images and a spectacular cast of musicians and dancers from across the globe.
“The treatment will be theatrical with new age technology during the two-hour,20 minutes musical spectacle,” Gattani said.
The concerts will regale audience in USA,Canada,Netherlands,France,Norway and UK,covering the cities of New York,Atlantic City,Washington DC,Chicago,Detroit,Toronto,San Francisco,Los Angeles,Dallas,Houston,Amsterdam,Paris,Oslo,Manchester and London.
