Losing a loved one is always a painful experience. Actor Kichcha Sudeep, whose mother Saroja Sanjeev, passed away on Sunday, wrote a heartfelt note trying to put to words his debilitating loss. Calling her “the most unbiased, loving, forgiving, caring, and giving, in my life was valued, celebrated, and will always be cherished” Sudeep went on to elaborate why she was a “true god” to him and explained the circumstances in which he came to know the news of her admission to a private hospital in Bengaluru where she passed away.

“Every morning, the 1st buzz on my phone would be here text, around 5.30am Wishing me,  “Good morning kanda,,,,” . I received her last txt on Friday, 18th October. I didn’t see her text the next day when I woke up while at Bigg Boss. 1st time in so many years. I did send her my morning txt and wanted to call and enquire if everything was OK,” said Sudeep, who added that shooting the BB episode took away time, and before he got on to the stage, he received the information about his mother being hospitalised.

“I immediately called my sister who was at the hospital, spoke to the doctors and went on to the stage. A little later, when I was on stage, a message was passed on to my people that she was critical. This helplessness is something I experienced for the first time. Here, I am handling the Saturdays episode ; dealing with several issues, and a fear in mind about my mother.”

Here’s the post:

Sudeep revealed that he shot through the episode, and credited his mother for teaching him the importance of getting the job done come what may. “I rushed to the hospital after the Saturday’s episode shoot, and my mother was put on the ventilator minutes before I reached. I couldn’t see my mother while she was still conscious,” wrote a pained Sudeep, who spoke about coming to terms with this new reality and hard-hitting truth.

Thanking everyone who turned up to pay respects, Sudeep said, “My mother… the most precious pearl of my life is gone. I’m sure she has reached a place filled with peace. Rest well, amma. I love you, and i miss you terribly.” He signed off as ‘Deepu’ the name with which his mother fondly called him.

While his post was a reflection of a mix of turmoil and peace, his daughter Sanvi minced no words in talking about the day that was. Talking about the demise of her grandmother, Sanvi pointed out that losing her wasn’t the worst thing that happened on Sunday. “The people who assembled outside my house, cheering loudly, stuffing cameras into my face as I try to grieve. I don’t know how much more inhumane one can be,” said Sanvi, who added that the prying eyes of the people who had thronged to see her father, and the intrusive cameras made it very difficult. “When my father was crying for his mother, people were pushing and pulling and we had so much trouble giving her the send-off she deserved. I’m crying about losing a loved one and all these people cared about was the kind of reel they could post,” wrote Sanvi.
