I am not even two per cent happy with my work, says Ranbir Kapoor

The actor has been shooting back-to-back films.

He is on the wish-list of some of the top directors in Bollywood, thanks to his performance in Rockstar and Barfi but Ranbir Kapoor says he is not satisfied with his work in the industry so far.

“Now,there is a constant search inside me to find my characters, find the right emotions and do my job honestly and truly. I am not even two per cent happy with what I have done so far. This thought of ‘Miles to go before I sleep’ stays with me,” Ranbir told PTI quoting Robert Frost’s poem.

The 30-year-old actor has been shooting back-to-back films and shares a special bond with his directors – Imtiaz Ali,Anurag Basu and Ayaan Mukherjee.

Basu, who is re-teaming with the actor for his biopic on Kishore Kumar, calls the actor “very special” and someone, who is not too much in love with himself.

While Imtiaz says he was attracted to Ranbir’s vulnerability while casting him for Rockstar.

When asked about his friendship with all these directors,Ranbir, who will be hosting the first Times of India Film awards (TOIFA) here, said he is lucky to be in the industry at a time when filmmakers are willing to take risk.

“I am happy and lucky and these people have become my friends because I am learning from them. I am getting to play these characters. The greatest joy for me is not winning an award but a director repeating me. That means I must be doing something right. It is humbling experience.”
