First up, in Ghaati, Anushka looks bloodied and fierce while she smokes her rage off in the Krish Jagarlamudi film. Backed by UV Creations, Rajeev Reddy and Sai Jagarlamudi, the Ghaati poster has the tagline, “Victim, criminal, legend.” Known for her author-backed roles, Anushka is making quite a strong comeback in Ghaati. Of course, she was recently part of the warm romcom, Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty, but Ghaati puts her right back into familiar territory. 

Ghaati marks the second collaboration between Krish and Anushka after the cult success of Vedam. Sharing the first look, the makers wrote, “The Queen will now rule the Ghaati. Wishing ‘The Queen’ AnushkaShetty a very Happy Birthday.” They revealed that a glimpse into the world of Ghaati will be out later today. The pan-Indian project will be dubbed in Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, and Malayalam.

Anushka Shetty in Kathanar first look

Incidentally, the makers of Anushka’s debut Malayalam venture, Kathanar – The Wild Sorceror, also revealed the first look of the actor from the film. In the video shared by Gokulam Gopalan, who is backing the film under the Sree Gokulam Movies banner, we see a tapestry unfold with a picture of an ethereal Anushka Shetty. She plays the role of Nila in the film directed by Rojin Thomas.

Kathanar, which is about the life of Kadamattathu Kathanar, a legendary 9th-century Christian priest, features Jayasurya in the titular role, and stars Prabhu deva and Vineeth in pivotal characters. 

With Kathanar and Ghaati aiming for a 2025 release, it is happy times for Anushka, and her fans who were waiting for updates about their favourite star’s impressive lineup of films.
