Bollywood celebrities Shah Rukh Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Kartik Aaryan and Sidharth Malhotra, among others, kicked off the second edition of the Women’s Premier League in Bengaluru yesterday. Shah Rukh gave an inspiring speech, an energetic performance, and ended his act with his famous pose from the movie Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.

In videos doing rounds on the internet, Shah Rukh was seen giving warm hugs to Shahid, Sidharth, Kartik and Varun. The celebs were captured rehearsing together and having a good time. Choreographers Shiamak Davar and Marzi Pestonji were seen rehearsing with Shah Rukh. The actor was seen practicing hook steps from songs “Jhoome Jo Pathaan” and “Not Ramaiya Vastavaiya.”

SRK also met with the Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians squads before their opening match. An adorable moment from the meeting was when King Khan shared a moment with Meg Lanning, and struck his trademark pose with her. The Jawan actor also taught his famous line – ‘Bade bade deshon mein aaisi choti choti baatein hoti rehti hai’ – to a player. Shah Rukh also shared a heartfelt moment with Harmanpreet Kaur and the duo were seen sharing a laugh.

The Pathaan actor said the line, “Party Pathan ke ghar par rakhoge to mehmaan nawazi ke liye Pathaan toh aayega,” before starting his performance.

SRK gave an inspiring speech at the opening ceremony, and said, “If women have progressed in so many fields, then why not in sports? For the next 30 days, it’s not only about women and their power, it’s not only about cricket and the goodness of sports. It’s about the rise of women and to carve their place and the rise of queens in their Queendom.”

Shah Rukh was last seen in the film Dunki. Also starring Taapsee Pannu, the film was helmed by Rajkumar Hirani.
