Shah Rukh Khan‘s acting prowess is known to the world but while his audience got a glimpse of his skills when he started working in the movies, his teachers and friends in his school days were some of his early audience members. In an earlier interview with BBC, SRK had shared that he once convinced his maths teacher that he gets ‘attacks’ just so he could bunk a few classes.
When probed about this incident, Shah Rukh recalled and said, “We had a teacher Mr Arora. He just joined and he didn’t know us and he was asking us things like, ‘do you guys have any problems’ and we were trying to be smart with him and I got up and said that ‘yes, I get these attacks’. He asked me what kind of attacks and he was really concerned.”
“He (the teacher) said, ‘what happened to you!’ and I just kept looking at him. My friends took over and said that he is having an attack and we really need to take him to the hospital right now and it happens to him regularly and we need a shoe,” he said. The actor and his friends took away the teacher’s shoe and left the school. They eventually came back when the school was out. The teacher, on the other hand, walked the entire day without wearing any shoes.
The actor shared, “He was looking concerned looking at all the buses parked at the end of the school and he looked at me and I again acted like I just recovered and the poor guy said that ‘Can I have my shoe back’ because the whole day he was walking around without it.”
SRK laughed at his childishness and said that he did not expect to get away with it.
