Shah Rukh Khan‘s acting prowess is known to the world but while his audience got a glimpse of his skills when he started working in the movies, his teachers and friends in his school days were some of his early audience members. In an earlier interview with BBC, SRK had shared that he once convinced his maths teacher that he gets ‘attacks’ just so he could bunk a few classes.

When probed about this incident, Shah Rukh recalled and said, “We had a teacher Mr Arora. He just joined and he didn’t know us and he was asking us things like, ‘do you guys have any problems’ and we were trying to be smart with him and I got up and said that ‘yes, I get these attacks’. He asked me what kind of attacks and he was really concerned.”

Shah Rukh admitted that he felt bad about the incident now and said that he was “young and stupid” at the time. “He was quite a gentleman and I feel quite bad now but at that time you are young and stupid and you do these things. So I said that I get these attacks and he said ‘ok please sit down’.” SRK recalled that he and his friends wanted to walk around the Connaught Place area that was close to his school and came up with a plan. He faked a seizure that really alerted his teacher.

“He (the teacher) said, ‘what happened to you!’ and I just kept looking at him. My friends took over and said that he is having an attack and we really need to take him to the hospital right now and it happens to him regularly and we need a shoe,” he said. The actor and his friends took away the teacher’s shoe and left the school. They eventually came back when the school was out. The teacher, on the other hand, walked the entire day without wearing any shoes.

The actor shared, “He was looking concerned looking at all the buses parked at the end of the school and he looked at me and I again acted like I just recovered and the poor guy said that ‘Can I have my shoe back’ because the whole day he was walking around without it.”

SRK laughed at his childishness and said that he did not expect to get away with it.
