Following an electrifying trailer, the creators of Sam Bahadur have unveiled the film’s first song, “Badhte Chalo”. Featuring Vicky Kaushal in the role of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, the song is a stirring tribute to the indomitable spirit of the Indian Army.
Sung by the dynamic trio of Shankar Mahadevan, Vishal Dadlani, and Divya Kumar, with lyrics penned by Gulzar, and music composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy, “Badhte Chalo” shows the resilience of soldiers and their unwavering commitment to their country. The song opens with Sam Manekshaw rallying his troops for battle, saying, “Wars ladna mera kaam hai aur unko jeetna bhi (It is my work to fight wars and win them).” The music video further provides glimpses of the Indian Army defying all odds during the 1971 war against Pakistan, under the guidance of Manekshaw.
