As Vicky Kaushal waits for fans to meet his ‘The Great Indian Family’ in cinemas on Friday, he took out time to celebrate Ganpati with his own family. The actor was spotted on Wednesday at the popular Lalbaugcha Raja with his parents for darshan. A video of his appearance at the pandal is going viral on social media, where Vicky, his mother and father, action director Sham Kaushal are seen amid a thick crowd as they wait to move ahead.

Dressed in a green kurta, the actor looked handsome in his bearded look. He was seen holding his mother’s hand tightly as soon as they entered the mandap, while father Sham walked close by. Devotees were surprised to see him around and were seen recording his videos on their phones. After passing through the entrance easily, the family had to wade through the crowd to finally reach Bappa. As the crowd became denser around him, Vicky patiently stood there, gesturing to the organisers that he would wait. The family even seemed amused at the crowd as they shared a light moment.

Fans were quite impressed by Vicky Kaushal and his parents for their patience to be amid such a crowd. They dropped comments like, “Vicky is down to earth and humble man,” “Aunty is so excited to see Ganpati,” “Kitni acchi and sweet family hai” on posts of paparazzi accounts. A few also wondered about Katrina Kaif‘s absence. A user wrote, “Katrina bhabhi kahan hai?” while another added, “Family is incomplete without Katrina. Where is she?”

When Vicky Kaushal spoke about the pros and cons of marrying an actor

Vicky Kaushal shared some insights about his cross-cultural marriage with Katrina Kaif, and said that because they’re both working actors, they can sometimes go for long stretches without having spent much time with each other. This, he said in a new interview, is the biggest ‘con’ of marrying someone from the film industry.

In a chat with Instant Bollywood, Vicky said that Katrina’s favourite Punjabi word is ‘wadiya (great)’. He said that whenever she’s asked how she’s doing, this is what she says in response.

Asked to list the pros and cons of marrying an actor, Vicky Kaushal said, “One pro would be that we understand our schedules aren’t nine-to-five, there are no Sundays, there are no weekdays or weekends. So, that understanding is there. The con is that sometimes, you are both shooting for a film and it’s going non-stop, and sometimes a month can pass without us having spent time with each other. Sometimes, I can have day shoots and she can have night shoots, so when I return from work she leaves, and we don’t get any time with each other despite living under the same roof.”
