Tusshar Kapoor can’t stop beaming ever since he became father to a baby boy named Laksshya through surrogacy. However, not many know that it was director Prakash Jha who enlightened and encouraged Tusshar about this medical process. Talking about the same, Tusshar said, “Last year, I went to Tirupati temple. I happened to meet director Prakash Jha. We were in the same flight. He told me about this procedure (IVF) and how one could be a single parent using the same. He also introduced me to a family who had used surrogacy to have a baby. I felt inspired and decided to go in for the same.”

The actor also said that he was in a hurry to become a parent. “I will be 40 this year and that is why I went ahead with what was told to me and I am happy that I took the right decision. My family is complete now,” said Tusshar.

Tusshar also thanked Dr Firuza Parikh, Director of IVF and Genetics at the Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre, for assisting him throughout, with all legal and medical formalities and in helping him father his child. Tusshar, however, refused to reveal his baby’s date of birth. “He came back home a week ago,” said the actor when quizzed.

Along with Tusshar, the entire Kapoor family is also overjoyed about the new addition to the clan, including Ekta, who is a proud aunt now. “Both my son and Ekta are June babies. She calls him her twin. She was the one who chose his name,” said Tusshar.
