Bhoot Police stars Yami Gautam and Jacqueline Fernandez were seen dancing with Madhuri Dixit on Dance Deewane Season 3 sets.

Kangana Ranaut said that there is a need to discourage Hollywood movies and instead promote Indian stories from different languages. The 34-year-old actor, who was in the national capital to promote her upcoming movie Thalaivii, a biopic on late J Jayalalithaa, said keeping “our people and our industry” a priority is important to “make an Atmanirbhar Bharat”.

“We need to discourage American and English movies as they are taking over our screens. We need to behave like one nation. We need to stop dividing ourselves like North India or South India. We need to enjoy our own films first, be it Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu or Punjabi,” Ranaut told reporters during a press conference.

Kangana got to meet actor-turned-politician Smriti Irani at Thalaivii’s screening for parliamentarians in Delhi. Kangana Ranaut shared a photo with the union minister and wrote, ‘real life Thalaivii’.

Sharing her look for the event, Kangana Ranaut shared, "All ready for Parliamentarians and Ministers screening in Delhi …..Rarely we celebrate our politicians and very few films on politics and politicians are made, one such rare film is Thalaivii based on former chief minister of Tamilnadu Dr.J.Jayalalithaa…. Honoured to be hosting a screening for prominent politicians today."

Bhoot Police movie review is here. Indian Express film critic Shubhra Gupta gave the film 2.5 stars and a part of her review reads, "The film works best when Saif Ali Khan is on a song, which is quite often. Arjun Kapoor fits the part too, as do Yami Gautam and Jacqueline Fernandez."

In February, Kangana Ranaut gave her fans a “massive transformation alert” and spoke about the kind of range she has displayed as a performer in Thalaivii. She wrote in a couple of tweets, “I have raw talent like Meryl Streep for layered character depictions but I can also do skilled action and glamour like Gal Gadot #Thalaivi #Dhaakad. I am open for debate if anyone can show me more range and brilliance of craft than me by any other actress on this planet I promise to give up my arrogance, until then I can surely afford the luxury of pride.”

On Thursday, Sony TV released a video giving a glimpse of the fun episode of The Kapil Sharma Show featuring Kangana Ranaut.

Talking about his character at the trailer launch of the film, Arjun Kapoor had said, “While I don’t believe in ghosts and stories about witches, I really liked the film’s script. When Rameshji (producer Ramesh Taurani) shared the script with me, I told him about this, and he said 90% of India believes in ghosts and witches, and only 10% don’t. So my character will be relatable to 90% of the audience, and Saif’s will be to only 10%, so I am happy! (chuckles).”

Bhoot Police, which will stream on Disney Plus Hotstar, features Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Yami Gautam in the lead roles. 

What attracted Saif Ali Khan to Bhoot Police was its space, set up and his look in the film. The decision to do any project is primarily instinctive, he said. “Something has to grab you that you would want to be part of the whole process. When you hear a story or when you read a script, you visualize the movie in a way and you think, ‘Is this what I wanted to do?’ This is one of the better scripts that I have read. There’s more depth to it than I think people would expect and it is a really interesting film," the actor told PTI. 

Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Yami Gautam starrer Bhoot Police will start streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar on September 10 at midnight. 

Kangana Ranaut shared a photo of her parents on her Instagram stories after they watched Thalaivii. She shared the photo with the caption, "Mummy papa after watching the film #Thalaivii... said congratulations for 5th National Award." 

Arjun Rampal is all praise for Thalaivii as he tweeted, "Just watched #Thalaivii it’s phenomenal. Such a difficult film to make, wonderfully handled by Vijay. The whole cast is excellent. The transitions thru period effortless. @thearvindswami is brilliant. #Kangana gives it her all and what a performance she has given. Incredible. Watch." 

Thalaivii, starring Kangana Ranaut in the titular role will release in the theaters on Friday.

Film critic Prashanth Rangaswamy is impressed with Kangana Ranaut and Arvind Swamy's performance in Thalaivi. Sharing his review of the film, he wrote on Twitter, "#Thalaivii Interval - @thearvindswami and #kanganaranuat have hit the ball out of the ground !! What a performance !! This man @gvprakash- The BGM, the songs, whole india is going to celebrate. Set, Camera etc. Director Vijay - Pure Guts and passion for cinema !!" 

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh watched Thalaivii and called it 'powerful'. He tweeted, "#OneWordReview...#THALAIVII: POWERFUL.
