The trailer of Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s ‘family entertainer’ Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya was unveiled on Thursday. The film, helmed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, is scheduled to hit theatres during Valentine’s Week on February 9. It also stars veteran actors Dharmendra and Dimple Kapadia.
Through the trailer, the makers have revealed that Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya is the love story of a human (Shahid) and a robot (Kriti), and the confusion that follows after they decide to get married. In the film, Kriti’s character is named Sifra, which stands for Super Intelligent Female Robot Automation. Dimple is probably essaying the role of a scientist, who knows the reality of Sifra.
Going by the trailer, Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon share sparkling on-screen chemistry in the movie. A few glimpses of Dharmendra are a treat for those who were missing him after Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The music also sounds decent, and a simple plotline seems ideal to attract the family audiences to cinema halls. But the trailer gives away a little too much about the plot, leaving little scope for the audience to be surprised when the film releases on the big screen.
Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya is made under the Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Film’s production banner. The fans of Shahid are happy to see him back in the rom-com space. A comment on the film’s trailer read, “Shahid is back with family entertaining!” Another user wrote, “Shahid’s BACKKK with ROM-COM.”
Shahid Kapoor was recently seen in the action thriller film Bloody Daddy. Helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the film streamed on the OTT platform JioCinema. On the other hand, Kriti Sanon was last seen in the action thriller Ganpath: Part 1 opposite Tiger Shroff. She also has The Crew, alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu and Diljit Dosanjh in her kitty.
