Sky Force box office collection day 5: Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya’s film earned Rs 5.75 crore on its first Tuesday, which is more than the opening day collections of Akshay’s several recent box office bombs, including Khel Khel Mein (Rs 5.5 crore) and Sarfira (Rs 2.5 crore). After making Rs 12.25 crore on day one, the film saw a massive jump of 79.59 percent on its first Saturday, earning Rs 22 crore. On Sunday, the number increased to Rs 28 crore, followed by Rs 7 crore on Tuesday, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.

On Tuesday, the film witnessed an overall occupancy of 11.81 percent with over 6200 shows across India, including 1053 shows in Mumbai and 1611 shows in Delhi-NCR. The film had opened with around 4500 shows, but due to its good performance at the box office, the number of shows has been increased in cities. Previously, there were just 852 shows in Mumbai and 1190 shows in Delhi-NCR.

The film’s domestic total stands at Rs 75 crore after five days of its release, according to Sacnilk. However, according to the makers, the film had already crossed Rs 81.3 crore at the domestic box office in just four days of release. The film marks the debut of Veer Pahariya. Based on a true story, it also stars actors Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan. Produced by Maddock Films, Sky Force is directed by actors Abhishek Anil Kapur, and Sandeep Kewlani.

Sky Force isn’t facing much competition at the box office, as the holdover releases — Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency and Ajay Devgn’s Azaad — failed to resonate with the audience. Sky Force might be impacted by the release of Shahid Kapoor’s film Deva. After that, Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava will be released on February 14.
