You can’t take Golmaal out of Rohit Shetty! No wonder, the director has roped in his Gomaal boys – Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade and Kunal Khemu to do a cameo in his next big release, Simmba. It was earlier reported that Rohit’s close friend Ajay Devgn will also be seen in a special appearance, playing his popular character of Bajirao Singham in the film’s climax. Simmba is the first collaboration between Rohit and Ranveer Singh. The film also stars Sara Ali Khan.
The team of Simmba confirmed with indianexpress.com that the Golmaal boys will be shooting the special scene in Hyderabad by the end of this month. Rohit, who is very close to his Golmaal team, couldn’t miss an opportunity to have them back on the set together even in Simmba.
Rohit Shetty struck gold after helming the first Golmaal in 2006. So far the franchise has had four films, placing Rohit in the league of Bollywood’s most successful and entertaining directors.
His latest directorial Simmba is a remake of the Telugu hit film Temper, with Ranveer Singh playing a corrupt police officer. The film is being co-produced by Rohit and Karan Johar. Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara Ali Khan, Ashutosh Rana and Siddhartha Jadhav will also be seen in Simmba.
Simmba will have a recreated version of the popular song “Aankh Maare” from 1996 film Tere Mere Sapne. The entertainer will release on December 28.
