Ever since the trailer of Thank You for Coming dropped, fans haven’t stopped gushing about Shehnaaz Gill’s glamorous looks. The actor will be seen sharing the screen with Bhumi Pednekar, Kusha Kapila, Dolly Singh and Shibani Bedi in this ‘chick flick’. Bankrolled by Rhea Kapoor, the film has been helmed by her husband Karan Boolani and will be screened at the Toronto International Film Festival 2003.
On Tuesday, the first song from the film “Haanji” dropped, which shows the girls having a fun time. Ahead of its release, they also indulged in a short live chat with fans. Shehnaaz, while talking about the song mentioned how she looked ‘extremely hot’ in it. She also thanked Rhea and Karan for the film and mentioned how Rhea gave her a makeover and made her as stylish as Sonam Kapoor.
“She has completely changed me. Earlier, you would watch Sonam Kapoor and feel wow, she dresses up so well. She has given me a makeover like that,” Shehnaaz said in the live chat.
The girl gang also discussed how they feel honoured that their film Thank You for Coming would be screened at TIFF. The girls revealed that the screening is already sold out and they are excited to meet fans on the red carpet.
Thank You for Coming is written by Radhika Anand and Prashasti Singh. The movie is produced by Ektaa Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms Limited and Anil Kapoor Film Communication Network Pvt Ltd. Apart from the cast mentioned earlier, the film also stars Pradhuman Singh Mall, Natasha Rastogi, Gautmik, Sushant Divgikar, and Saloni Daini.
Discussing the film, Rhea Kapoor had earlier said, “Even with its unconventional storyline and bold point of view, this movie is an out and out Bollywood entertainer, full of masti and music so it makes this selection that much sweeter. It is a film I am extremely proud of and we couldn’t have asked for a better kick-start. I’ve had the privilege to work with the most talented group of girls that have put their heart and soul into making this movie and we cannot wait for the world to see what we have made.”
Thank You for Coming is scheduled to hit theatres on October 6.
