It’s the ‘Shamitabh’ weekend. R Balki’s trilogy with Amitabh Bachchan completes with this movie. The first two ventures being ‘Cheeni Kum’ and ‘Paa’.
With R Balki, comes originality in the plot and that’s something even ‘Shamitabh’ can boast of. The movie traces the story of a mute actor played by Dhanush and how Amitabh Bachchan becomes his voice on the insistence of a director played by newbie Akshara Haasan.
The team of the movie hasn’t gone overboard with the promotions as it can totally sell on the merit of the concept and the starcast.
The initial reviews have started pouring in and going by them, ‘Shamitabh’ surely promises to be a nice watch.
The only competition it has now is Akshay Kumar’s ‘Baby’, which is still going strong at the Box Office, but since it’s the solo release of the week, its expected to start rolling the 2015 Bollywood collections in a good way.
