Ahead of his 60th birthday, Shah Rukh Khan is back with a new session of #AskSRK — much to the delight of his fans who eagerly awaited his witty and charming responses. During the interactive session, the superstar addressed questions about why he doesn’t give interviews anymore, how he sees himself at 60 and whether he will greet fans who gather outside his iconic Mumbai bungalow, Mannat, as part of his annual tradition. The actor is not living at Mannat at present as his iconic address undergoes renovations. There are reports that Shah Rukh will be celebrating his special day with family and friends at his Alibaug farmhouse.

Why Shah Rukh doesn’t give interviews

When a fan requested him to give an interview, saying he misses hearing Shah Rukh’s answers to the press, the actor replied with his trademark humour, “Have nothing new to say….and old interviews have aged well so….ha ha.”

SRK says ‘bhaade pe reh raha hu’ but will meet fans at Mannat

Currently, Shah Rukh’s bungalow Mannat is undergoing major renovation, and the actor has temporarily rented luxury apartments in the same area for two years for himself and his family. Despite that, when a fan asked if he would greet fans who assemble outside Mannat every year, SRK assured them that the tradition would continue — but with a playful twist. He wrote, “Of course but may have to wear a hard hat!!!”

He also had a playful answer for a fan who requested for a room in Mannat now that he’s in Mumbai to celebrate SRK’s birthday. “Mannat mein toh mere paas bhi room nahi hai aaj kal….Bhaade pe reh raha hoon!!!”

Shah Rukh’s priorities at 60

Another fan asked the superstar about his priorities in life at this stage, to which he replied, “Spending time with my kids….remain tough and healthy so I can entertain….and be generally more patient and loving.”

When asked about the teaser for his upcoming film King, Shah Rukh had a cheeky response ready: “Abhi Title toh announce kiya nahi officially….tum Teaser par kaise pahunch gaye!!! (I haven’t announced the title yet and you are asking me for the teaser!).”

In another heartwarming exchange, a fan who was heartbroken shared that his friends were taking him to watch the re-release of SRK’s classic film Devdas after his breakup — as a joke. Shah Rukh responded with empathy and poetic wisdom, writing, “Don’t be. Cracks in heart appear only so that the light can come in. Try dancing with Jaggu dada and my song comes….Chalak chalak….”

He also decoded fans’ love for him and wrote, “I think ppl love the image I have on screen and off screen how I lead my life….i naturally try and maintain a balance that keeps the love growing.”

SRK is sexy at 60
