The wedding of filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker’s son Konark Gowariker was a star-studded affair with the frequent collborators of the filmmaker — including Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan– showing up to bless the newlyweds. Konark tied the knot with Niyati Kanakia, daughter of Rasesh Babubhai Kanakia of Kanakia Builders, on Sunday. Other than Aamir and SRK, Vidya Balan and husband Siddharth Roy Kapur, Sonali Bendre, Kiran Rao, Gracy Singh, Goldie Bahl, Genelia and Riteish Deshmukh also attended the event.

Shah Rukh looked dapper as he reached the event in a dark suit and sunglasses, which have become something of a de rigueur for him these days.

Shah Rukh was seen taking pictures with the couple and giving his blessings. He met with Ashutosh Gowariker, hugged and posed with him before diving into a brief chat. Both men have worked together on numerous occasions such as Chamtakar (1992), Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa(1994) and the critically acclaimed Swades(2004).

Khan was seen donning a simple yet elegant black blazer with matching tie and trousers paired with a white shirt.

Videos of the newly wed couple surfaced online where they are enjoying several dance performances organised in their honor. After the wedding ceremony, the Gowarikers hosted a reception for their close friends in the industry which also included names like Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, Ritesh Sadhwani and more.
