Shah Rukh Khan has leased two high-end duplex apartments in Mumbai’s upscale Pali Hills, Khar West. According to property portal Zapkey.com, the Jawan actor has signed a three-year lease for an annual rent of Rs 2.9 crore, amounting to a total of Rs 8.67 crore over the lease term. The combined monthly rent for both apartments is Rs 24.15 lakh. The lease agreements, registered on February 14, also indicate a stamp duty of Rs 2.22 lakh and a registration fee of Rs 2,000. The duplexes are located in the Puja Casa building, spanning the first, second, seventh, and eighth floors.
The apartments belong to Bollywood’s Bhagnani family. One of the units is owned by actor-producer Jackky Bhagnani and his sister Deepshikha Deshmukh, which Shah Rukh Khan has leased for Rs 11.54 lakh per month, with a security deposit of Rs 32.97 lakh, for a 36-month period. The other unit, owned by Vashu Bhagnani, has been rented for Rs 12.61 lakh per month, with a security deposit of Rs 36 lakh, for the same three-year term.
Renting luxury properties is not uncommon in Bollywood. In December 2024, Shraddha Kapoor reportedly leased a plush apartment in Mumbai’s Juhu locality for Rs 6 lakh per month.
Shah Rukh Khan’s decision to rent these apartments comes shortly after Gauri Khan applied to the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) for approval to expand their iconic Mumbai bungalow, Mannat. The proposal seeks to add two floors to the six-storey annexe behind the residence, increasing the built-up area by 616.02 square meters.
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan delivered two blockbuster hits in 2023—Jawan and Pathaan. He is now gearing up for his next big-screen outing, King, directed by Siddharth Anand. The film is rumoured to feature Abhishek Bachchan and Suhana Khan.
