Shah Rukh Khan was his charming self at the recently organised Filmfare Awards. After videos of Kajol and Shah Rukh bringing nostalgia to the stage with their performance on their hits went viral, clips of SRK being his gentlemanly self are also making the rounds. One video shows SRK and Karan Johar paying tribute to the Gujarati community with a performance, while another clip captures SRK helping Laapata Ladies stars Pratibha Ranta and Nitanshi Goel up the stairs at the award show.

The award show was organised in Ahmedabad, and during the event, SRK and Karan danced to the “GUJJU” track from their film Kal Ho Naa Ho, which was part of a comedy segment featuring background dancers dressed in traditional attire.

Meanwhile, SRK danced with Rajkummar Rao to the latter’s hit track “Aayi Nai” from his film Stree 2. Shah Rukh also lauded Rajkummar’s performance in Srikanth, for which he won the Critics’ Award for Best Actor Male. As Shah Rukh praised Rajkummar’s acting, the latter said, “Love you Shah Rukh sir. You praising me is the bigger award than the award itself.”

Another video from the show shows SRK helping actors Pratibha Ranta and Nitanshi Goel climb the stairs in their elaborate gowns. SRK even saved Nitanshi from almost falling and picked up her train as she walked the stage.

Ravi Kishan, who also bagged an award, praised Shah Rukh Khan and recalled an instance when the superstar worked despite high fever. He said, “I did Army with him. He is an inspiration. He once had high fever of 104. This is how a person becomes King Khan. He shot the film in high fever and by seeing him, we got to know how he became Shah Rukh Khan. Aap kitne sundar insaan hai, gentleman hai.”

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is currently working on his film The King, which also stars his daughter Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Deepika Padukone. It is directed by Siddharth Anand.
