On the premiere episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show season 3, actor Salman Khan talked about the enhanced security at his Mumbai residence following death threats from Lawrence Bishnoi Gang and two fan intrusions in May.

The much-awaited The Great Indian Kapil Show season 3 began with superstar Salman Khan gracing the first episode. Salman, who is known for his honesty and wit, brought laughter to the set as he joined Kapil Sharma, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Archana Puran Singh, Sunil Grover, Kiku Sharda and Krushna Abhishek for a fun-filled episode.

During the show, Salman opened up about a recent incident in which a woman tried to sneak into his home at Galaxy Apartments. The topic came up when Kapil jokingly asked him about fans showing up at his residence with suitcases. Salman confirmed that something like that had indeed happened recently.

“Yes, something like that recently happened. There were security guards outside. A woman told them she wanted to head up to the fourth floor, and she entered. She rang the doorbell, and our servant opened the door. The servant was shocked because the lady said, ‘Salman called me over.’ Obviously, the servant saw her and was sure I definitely didn’t call her. She was a fan, so she was escorted out,” said the Sikandar actor.

The intrusion took place in May earlier this year, when a woman attempted to breach the security of Galaxy Apartments but was intercepted. The incident followed closely on the heels of a similar security breach earlier that week. On May 20, a man was apprehended after he was found attempting to enter Galaxy Apartments stealthily. According to police officials, a preliminary investigation revealed that the man hailed from Chhattisgarh.

In January, security at Salman Khan’s residence was enhanced with bulletproof glass protecting his balcony and a high-tech CCTV camera system keeping a watch on the road outside. The bulletproof glass panel ensures the actor’s safety when he steps onto the balcony of his flat to greet his fans.

The security upgrade, being carried out by a private contractor hired by Salman, comes months after two men on a motorbike, allegedly belonging to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, opened fire outside the building in April 2024. A high-tech CCTV camera was also installed in front of the building to detect any suspicious movement and razor wire fencing was put around it.

The actor has received threats from the Bishnoi gang in the past. In June 2024, Navi Mumbai Police had claimed to have discovered a plot to kill the actor when he travelled to his farmhouse at Panvel near Mumbai. Salman already enjoys 24-hour police protection.
