Actor Ameesha Patel starred alongside Saif Ali Khan in the 2008 film Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic. In a recent podcast, Ameesha recalled working with Saif, and also revealed that he had just started dating Kareena Kapoor at the time. Ameesha said that Saif asked her for a favour, because he wanted to plan something special on Valentines’ Day for Kareena.
Ameesha recalled that during the shoot of the song ‘Lazy Lamhe’, she was involved in a small accident on set, and Saif was the one who rushed to her aid. She described Saif as ‘amazing’. In an interview with Instant Bollywood, Ameesha said that she had a great relationship with Saif, and said that they bonded over books and their similar educational backgrounds.
“During the course of shoot of Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, Valentine’s Day happened, and Saif had recently started dating Kareena. Saif called me one day and said, ‘Listen Ameesha, I need these dates but Adi (Aditya Chopra) has said check with Ameesha if she’s willing to adjust. I want to go to LA to be with Kareena and I want to take her out’, and I was like, ‘Ok Saif, I’ll adjust my dates’,” shared he actor.
Ameesha went on to add, “Saif is very professional and sorted and that’s why he has gone from power to power, to power.” Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor began dating in 2007, on the sets of their film Tashan.
Recently, after Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an intruder in his home, Ameesha, in an interview with Zoom, called him ‘brave’. She had expressed her shock and distress at the attack, and had called it ‘very wrong’.
Saif Ali Khan and Amisha Patel also worked together in the 2013 film Race 2.
