Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani box office collection Day 8: Alia Bhatt-Ranveer Singh film clocks Rs 80 cr; aims for Rs 100 cr over the weekend

This brings the film’s domestic nett total to Rs 80.23 crore. The film has amassed Rs 146.5 crore worldwide so far. The film had an 8.63% occupancy in the Hindi market for morning shows. However, as the day progressed, the percentages steadily rose, reaching 13.82% for afternoon shows, 21.09% for evening shows, and an impressive 35.38% for night shows.

Meanwhile, the industry tracker also forecasts that the Alia Bhatt-Ranveer Singh film is expected to eke out around Rs 10.72 crore in box office collections from Indian theatres on Saturday.

During its release day on July 28, the film saw a domestic box office performance of Rs 11.1 crore. Subsequently, the numbers saw a surge to Rs 16.05 crore on Saturday and Rs 18.75 crore on Sunday.

Although the weekend predictions for RARKPK are comparatively lower this time, these figures may still vary due to the absence of major film releases in the various film industries this weekend. Without any competing films until the following week, the Karan Johar movie is poised to easily surpass the Rs 100 crore mark by Sunday.

In her review of the film, The Indian Express’ Shubhra Gupta mentioned that the film has “ginormous sets, blingy naach-gaana and a lot of emotions, but little originality.”

Apart from Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, the film stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Aamir Bashir, Tota Roy Choudhury, Churni Ganguly, Kshitee Jog and Anjali Anand in pivotal roles.
