Rituparno Ghosh’s sudden death shocks film industry

National award winning filmmaker Rituparno Ghosh died following a cardiac arrest.

National award winning filmmaker Rituparno Ghosh,49,died at a hospital in Kolkata in the morning,following a cardiac arrest.

Rituparno got the National Award last year for his film Abohoman featuring Jishu Sengupta,Ananya Chatterjee.

The film industry took to Twitter to express their grief and shock on the sad news.

The director,known for his movies like Raincoat,Chokher Bali,The Last Lear,began his career in advertising.

His last release was Chitrangada,which was based on Rabindra Nath Tagore’s writing.

Ritupano Ghosh was in the middle of directing a film on the hit TV series Byomkesh Bakshi.
