In recent years, fans have frequently spotted Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt visiting the construction site of their new home in Mumbai’s Bandra. Now, photos and videos have emerged showing the house nearing completion. The couple has often visited their new residence, accompanied by their daughter Raha and Ranbir’s mother, Neetu Kapoor, to check on the construction progress.
The video showcases the six-storey bungalow featuring a sleek grey and light blue exterior, complete with glass balconies and large windows. It has been named after Ranbir’s late grandmother, Krishna Raj Kapoor. According to a report from Bollywood Life, Ranbir plans to gift the bungalow to his daughter Raha and register it in her name. The report also suggests that the bungalow cost him and his family around Rs 50 crore, making it the ‘most expensive’ celebrity bungalow in Mumbai, surpassing Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat and Amitabh Bachchan’s Jalsa.
However, some fans have expressed mixed feelings about the bungalow’s design. One fan commented, “Is it a bungalow? It looks more like a building, and a very normal one at that.” Ranbir’s Delhi fans compared his new home to bungalows in Delhi, stating, “Kya bakwas hai, humare Delhi ke posh areas ke bungalow dekho tab pata chalega bungalow hota kya hai” (Check out the bungalows in posh areas of Delhi to understand what a real bungalow looks like). Another fan noted a resemblance to Elvish’s bungalow, saying, “First glance, it looks like Elvish’s home.” One more fan wrote, “I thought it was a building.”
Currently, Alia and Ranbir live with Raha in their Vastu Pali Hill apartment, where they also celebrated their beautiful wedding ceremony.
On the professional front, Ranbir last delivered a blockbuster with Animal. He has several highly anticipated projects in the pipeline, including Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan. Additionally, he will star alongside wife Alia in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love And War, which also features Vicky Kaushal in a lead role.
