Bollywood’s newest onscreen pair Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are going to set the screen on fire in a Karan Johar production, which will release on Christmas 2016.
Producer-director Karan Johar, who will be working with superstar Salman Khan in his ambitious project ‘Shhuddhi’, took to Twitter to share the big news. He said the film’s shoot will begin next year.
The film will be directed by ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ director Ayan Mukerji.

Alia has always been vocal about her desire to work with the star. This is the first time Alia Bhatt has been paired opposite Ranbir Kapoor.
Ranbir had apparently suggested Alia’s name to Imtiaz Ali for their upcoming film, but the director felt Deepika Padukone suited the role better and cast Alia in ‘Highway’ instead.
Alia Bhatt, who made her debut with KJo’s Dharma Production, is basking in the success of her latest ‘Dharma’ hit ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya’.
Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor has worked with Karan Johar in ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Dewaani’, which was a blockbuster.
According to reports, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen as a superhero in the film. In an interview, Ranbir had revealed that it is a fantasy-based film based in contemporary times, which has a protagonist with superpowers.
