Pulkit Samrat and Kriti Kharbanda, who got married earlier this month, have been sharing photos from their wedding on social media. A few days ago, photos from Kriti’s ‘pehli rasoi’, the ceremony where the bride cooks for the first time at her husband’s house, were shared on social media and now, Kriti has proudly shared photos from Pulkit’s ‘pehli rasoi’. The ceremony is traditionally performed by women so Kriti declared her husband to be a “green flag” and said that she “fell in love all over again.”
“Pulkit ki pehli rasoi happened yesterday. I walked into the kitchen and realised he’s making halwa. I asked him what he was doing, and he casually responded, ‘halwa bana raha hoon, it’s my pehli rasoi’. I giggled and told him, pehli rasoi ladki ki hoti hai baby. To which his response was, ‘that’s so silly, we’ve both decided to share equal responsibility in this relationship. You cooked for our family back home in Delhi, I’ll cook for our family here in bangalore. Simple!'” she shared on Instagram.
Kriti mentioned that she was in awe with the way he used the word ‘simple’ and said that he “casually changed everything.” She wrote, “@pulkitsamrat you are the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Thank you for showing me that you’re the best decision I’ve ever made. Tu sabr ka phal hai baby, sabse meetha! ❤️ Thu Thu Thu 🧿🥹🧿P.S. the pictures aren’t so great coz I was too blurry visually from being supremely emo, but really wanted to share this with the world ❤️”.
In an earlier chat with Hauterrfly, Kriti had mentioned that even before she started dating Pulkit, she really liked that he always carried tampons in his bag, in case any woman around him needed them.
On Thursday, Kriti had shared a few photos from her chooda ceremony and wrote that she wore her mother’s wedding dupatta and her grandmother’s necklace for the ceremony. “Naani ma ka haar aur ma ki shaadi ka dupatta! The two things I was sure I was going to adorn during my Chooda ceremony even before there was a boyfriend or a proposal ❤️ bachpan ka Sapna tha :),” she wrote.
Pulkit and Kriti dated each other for many years before tying the knot.
