Archana Puran Singh and her family love to try out different dishes and they often share vlogs where they try the same food item at different outlets and rank them in order of preference. In their latest vlog, the family tried hakka noodles from a street side joint and compared it to the same dish prepared at a 5-star restaurant. Archana was accompanied by her husband Parmeet Sethi and sons Ayushmaan and Aaryamann, but this time, Aaryamann’s fiance Yogita Bihani did not accompany them.
The family first went to a street food stall in Mumbai’s Juhu called Sagar Chinese and they tried the Hakka noodles. As the vendor added some ‘tasting powder’ to the noodles, Archana wondered if there was any MSG in it and asked, “Yeh MSG toh nahi hai?” After the vendor was done with the preparation, all the family members tasted the noodles and as soon as Archana had her first bite, her eyes popped out. Looking at her expression, Parmeet exclaimed, “Yeh toh overacting ki dukaan hai.” They enjoyed the dish and ordered another portion, which is quite rare for them. The family then found out that actors Kartik Aaryan and Avneet Kaur also order from the same vendor.
The family then went to a 5-star hotel’s restaurant in Juhu where they were joined by Avneet Kaur and Shantanu Maheshwari as they were promoting their film Love in Vietnam. Here too, they tried some Chinese dishes, and the family was instantly impressed.
Archana announced that the family will soon be travelling to Dehradun, and will share vlogs from the town. Archana grew up in Dehradun and lived there before she moved to Mumbai to become an actor. In earlier vlog, Archana shared that she had a comfortable childhood as her father was a lawyer and they lived in a huge bungalow. “We lived in a bungalow and my dad had a Chevrolet Impala, he had all the fancy cars at that time,” she shared.
She then added, “My dad defended Sanjay Gandhi once in court. He was a criminal lawyer and despite being a criminal lawyer he was very innocent and kind-hearted. It was his humour that has been passed on to me and you. He was a great man. When he passed away, the whole Dehradun came for his funeral.”
