Actor Parineeti Chopra got engaged to AAP member and MP Raghav Chadha on Saturday. The low-key event was held in Delhi with only close family and friends in attendance. Priyanka Chopra also flew down to be with her cousin on her big day. Photos and videos of the couple are doing rounds in the media from the function, leaving fans gushing at their chemistry.
The couple later made an appearance for the media outside the venue to get clicked. Parineeti wore a Manish Malhotra-designed peach-coloured salwar-kameez suit with embroidery and sequins work. The politician, on the other hand, opted for a white layered sherwani, designed by his uncle Pawan Sachdeva. The paps teased Raghav saying, ‘Rajneeti se Parineeti ho gaya’ leaving the newly-engaged couple blushing.
Fans could not have enough of the couple as they took to the comment section to wish them. Some of the comments read as “I love this jodi”, “Their happiness is contagious”, “He really loves her… good choice” and “Pari looks so happy, god bless them.”
Parineeti and Raghav, after exchanging rings, posted several pictures on Instagram to announce the news to the world. This is the first time that either of them has acknowledged the relationship. “Everything I prayed for .. I said yes! 💍,” she wrote in the caption.
The couple sparked dating rumors after they were photographed outside a few restaurants in Mumbai a while ago. While they did not make any statements about their relationship, they were clicked in Mohali while attending an IPL match which confirmed the rumours about them. Parineeti and Raghav were both seen blushing, as they waved to their fans.
On the work front, Parineeti was last seen in the film Uunchai. She has Imtiaz Ali’s Chamkila in the pipeline.
