From a single appearance in Season 1 to portraying a full-fledged character in Season 3 of Prime Video’s much-talked-about series Panchayat, actor Sanvikaa has come a long way. Sanvikaa plays the character of Rinky, the daughter of Neena Gupta and Raghubir Yadav’s characters, in the show. In a recent interaction, she shared her experience of working with veteran actor Neena Gupta and lauded her ‘unfiltered’ attitude both on and off the camera. She also spoke about her famous water tank scene, which became an inspiration for many memes.
Speaking to Bollywood Now, Sanvikaa praised Neena and said, “When we had a shot together, I would be very involved with the scene, but I would observe her when she had scenes with other people. She says her dialogue fearlessly, and you can learn that from her. She is also very unfiltered off the camera. She says what she feels. That’s a very good quality; I really like that about her.”
Sharing how Neena helped her through a difficult situation on set, she said, “She will always support you. Sometimes on sets, you need a Ma, and she will definitely support you. There was this one situation when she was there with me, and she supported me. She just said one line, but I felt so nice. I started enjoying working with her in Season 3 because I had built a bond with her since Season 2. I really like her as a person.”
Sanvikaa’s character Rinky was introduced in the last episode of Panchayat Season 1, where she was seen sitting on top of the village’s water tank. Talking about her experience of shooting the scene, she said, “When we were first climbing the water tank, it started wobbling as we were in the middle of the stairs. At that time, we got a bit scared. Then our whole camera and lighting team also climbed the water tank with the camera. So, we were scared because you can never know what happens. After that scene, I got used to it. Now I am waiting for when they will let me go on top of the water tank again.”
Panchayat Season 3 was released on May 28. It stars Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Jitendra Kumar, Chandan Roy, and Faisal Malik in lead roles
