Orhan Awatramani, better known as Orry, is everywhere on social media. There isn’t a Bollywood celebrity Orry isn’t friends with and in a recent chat, he opened up about his ‘family-like’ relationship with Janhvi Kapoor. Orry and Janhvi are often clicked together and seem to share a very strong friendship. Orry said that he first met Janhvi almost 7-8 years ago in New York and before he met her, he was a fan.
Talking to MensXP, Orry said that he was studying in New York at the time and him and Jahnvi had a mutual friend. Janhvi was visiting the city and their friend asked if they could all hang out at Orry’s house, and since he was such a big fan, he was over the moon with this suggestion. ‘All week every Indian in Manhattan was talking about how Janhvi Kapoor was coming to town,” he said. When Janhvi finally came over, Orry ran to his house from across the city in snowy weather. “She just came in her perfectness, and her glamour and her aura. She was everything she was meant to be,” he said. He said he is still a fan and now he would describe himself as “fan and family.” When discussing if he is closer to Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor or Nysa Devgn, Orry said he is just as close to everyone.
Orry recalled meeting Kylie Jenner and said that the first time he met her, he stood in line outside a restaurant to get a photo with her. But the second time, it was at her house in Los Angeles but he refused to reveal how he ended up at her house.
With Kanye West, Orry recalled that he first met him at a fashion show where Kanye liked his look. But in Orry’s words, he “looked like a pumpkin.” But later, “someone from his team invited me for his fashion show which was a week later” and that’s how Orry met him again. He also spoke about meeting Joe Jonas and how he was just 16 when he saw the popstar in a restaurant as he was seated on a table behind him. “I overstayed my welcome and sat down at the table with him and never got up,” he said.
Orry’s life has left many on the internet curious and while he makes it seem like an open book, no one really knows what he does for a living.
