Ever heard Diljit Dosanjh speak Gujarati? The Ambanis made even this happen. The Punjabi actor-singer on Saturday attended the grand pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, and a particular moment from the bash caught fans’ attention online.
In a video shared by a paparazzi account, Diljit is seen interacting with Nita Ambani, who asks him in Gujarati, ‘Kem cho (How are you)?’ The actor immediately answers, ‘Maja Ma’ as the crowd cheers for him. Nita Ambani then escalates the challenge and asks him where he lives.
Stumped, Diljit says in Punjabi that this is too “difficult” for him to understand, and when he is explained the meaning of the sentence, he responds, “Main logon ke dilon mein jeeta hoon (I live in people’s hearts).” The guests cheered loudly at Diljit’s charming response.
