Mika Singh complains Shah Rukh Khan promised him a bike, but never delivered: ‘He gave them to John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan’

Singer-musician Mika opened up about his equation with Shah Rukh Khan, and how they all went for a 5am ride after a party when Ranveer Singh was seated in the car's boot.

Mika on Shah Rukh Khan's magnanimity, and an unforgettable car ride

Popular singer-songwriter Mika Singh is also quite an enterprising raconteur who always has a story that is fascinating, and it reflects the kind of equations he shares with the who’s who of Hindi cinema. It also helps that the anecdotes are not just enterprising, but are also quite informative about the protagonists of these stories.

Reminiscing on the time he was at Hrithik Roshan‘s birthday party almost a decade back, Mika said, “He had just got a Rolls Royce, and he wanted us all to go on a drive. But I insisted we take a bigger car that would accommodate all of us. It was around 5 am, and I suggested we take my Hummer. Ranveer Singh joined us, and so did Gauri bhabhi, Sanjay Kapoor, and his wife (Maheep).” But then, there came a problem of space in this car, and the bigger question of who would drive. “I asked Shah Rukh Khan to drive because all of us couldn’t fit in the Hummer if we asked the driver to take the car. But, he is such a sweet person that he agreed, and we all went on the drive, and Ranveer was sitting in the boot.”

Sharing that the party went on till 7-8 am, and it was a night to remember for Mika, who had shared a selfie of him with Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer, and Hrithik. “I think that is Shah Rukh Khan’s greatness. I have only sung a couple of songs for him… in Raees and Happy New Year, but he is someone with such a big heart. In fact, even the PS 5 in my house is a gift from him,” said Mika.

However, Mika also jocularly registered a small grievance about Shah Rukh Khan. “Although, I have received gifts from him, he had once promised to gift me a bike. In fact, he promised it when he gifted a bike to Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham. Even if not a bike, at least gift me a cycle, I’d be very happy.”

“I have also gifted rings worth Rs 50 lakhs to Amitabh Bachchan and Gurdas Maan, but I gave it to Shah Rukh Khan first. I had always wanted to do something special for these three individuals,” he had also said in the interview to Pinkvilla.
