Pakistani actor Mahira Khan, who is best known in Bollywood for her role in Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Raees, recently tied the knot with longtime boyfriend, entrepreneur Salim Karim. Now, Mahira has shared the first photo and video from their wedding.
In the image, Mahira and Salim stand under her veil. She captioned the picture, “Bismillah.”
Mahira also shared a video from the wedding ceremony and captioned it, “My Shehzada, Salim”. The video features Salim’s voiceover – “My Mahira is very spiritual and because of her, I have also become spiritual.” Mahira is seen sitting next to her son as Salim reads the vows. Towards the end of the video, the couple is shown dancing as guests around them cherish the newlyweds’ bond.
Mahira Khan’s latest post on Instagram elicited comments from fans and colleagues. Mouni Roy commented, “Heartiest congratulations to both of you. Wish you the happiest most meaningful journey ahead.” Sonam Kapoor wrote, “Congratulations beautiful girl ❤️ God bless you both ❤️ 🧿.”
Mahira and Salim had kept their relationship private for a long time. Their wedding reportedly took place in Pakistan’s Bhurban in the presence of family members and close friends. In a video, which went viral, Salim is seen tearing up as his bride walks towards him dressed in an ivory ensemble with a trailing veil.
This is Mahira Khan’s second marriage. The actor has a son, Azlaan, from a previous marriage with Ali Askari.
