Loveyapa box office collection day 2: Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor-starrer Loveyapa is off to a slow start at the box office. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the Advait Chandan directorial earned Rs 1.50 crore in India on its second day, following an opening-day collection of Rs 1.15 crore. The total box office collection in India stands at Rs. 2.65 crore.
On Saturday, Loveyapa, also starring Grusha Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana, Tanvika Parlikar, Kiku Sharda, Devishi Mandan, Aaditya Kulshreshth, Nikhil Mehta, Jason Tham, Yusus Khan, Yuktam Kholsa, and Kunj Anand, witnessed an overall 14.35 per cent occupancy for the Hindi version. While Chennai had the highest occupancy of 56% from just 9 shows, it was followed by Bengaluru, Pune and Mumbai with 25.67%, 20.33% and 20% occupancy, respectively.
On the other hand, Himesh Reshammiya and Prabhudeva’s Badass Ravikumar gave strong competition to Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan’s coming-of-age film, which released on the same day. As per Sacnilk, it opened at Rs. 2.75 crore and earned Rs. 2 crore on its second day. While Loveyapa received mixed reviews, Badass Ravikumar was panned by critics.
Loveyapa, a remake of the 2022 Tamil hit Love Today, has joined Baby John and Deva among recent remakes struggling at the box office. Meanwhile, re-releases like Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi classic Interstellar and Harshvardhan Rane’s Sanam Teri Kasam are performing decently in theaters.
