Talking about her character Lara reveals that she plays a fearless lawyer in the film. She said, “It’s a challenging role and I had fun playing it because it’s a totally fictional character but integral to the narrative.”

Most of her scenes were either shot in Hyderabad or in London. She will be seen as Azhar’s arch nemesis in the film that goes out of her way to prove that he was responsible for the match fixing scandal. Lara also met a lawyer as a part of her preparation. Directed by Tony D’Souza, Azhar features Emraan Hashmi as Mohammad Azharuddin. The film which also stars Prachi Desai and Nargis Fakhri will release on May 13.
